When we moved into our home last year we were gifted an amazing dining room table and chairs from my aunt and uncle who had a spare. It was perfect for our home except for one small detail…the seats were white!
No one wanted to sit on them for fear of getting them dirty! So between my nesting in high gear and 60% off sale of upholstery fabric at Joanns…I give you the transformation!
Not so bad if I do say so myself! The fabric is still neutral to fit the room but a much darker shade. Not to mention much easier maintenance and cleaning!
So I have officially completed two of six chairs…four more to go. Not sure if my hands can handle it! Look at how many silly staples the manufacturer uses…sheesh!
Have anyone else every adventured in upholstery?
You’ve done a great job! I have not, but I have thought of reupholstering my dining set as well. (I have dark brown microfiber that is impossible to get clean no matter how many cleaning solutions I’ve tried) Thank you for the inspiration!
I’m impressed! Nice job 🙂
Not me, I’m too scared! You are brave 🙂
That’s a ton of staples. You’re very brave, I’ve never done any upholstery.
They look great.
Looks perfect. We had chairs redone, but I did not venture out to to it myself. Looking at yours, I am inspired to try it myself next time. Thanks. 🙂
Screwdriver, staple gun, and patience!!
I am going to remember that and follow your lead. 🙂
Oh my goodness, that is a crazy amount of staples!!!! Looks lovey in the end!
Wow, those staples were all in one seat? I have refinished wood furniture, but not the upholstery. Your chairs look great! 🙂 ❤ ❤
