Happy Labor Day to all! In honor of the holiday I decided to look back on my own work.

So these crazy knitters called The Knit Girllls do something called Stash Dash every summer over break. The goal is to finish and use as much yarn as possible. Ideally to reach traditional race goals like 5k, 10k, 15k etc. I’m a fickle knitter and tend to want to knit whatever sounds good. Which doesn’t always lead to a lot of finishes. So I don’t officially play in this KAL. Why set myself up for anxiety and failure!?

But for grins and giggle I decided to see what my tally was this summer. I finished 7 objects in the allotted time frame:

• Gradient Age of Brass and Steam
• Nicole xmas Socks Take Two
• Nangou
• Dad’s Xmas Socks
• Terribly Simple
• Antimuon Socks
• True Blue Fingerless Mitts

All that added up to 2,578 yard or 2,358 meters. So I knit roughly 2.36 kilometers during Stash Dash. (And this doesn’t count all the squares on my blanket so my yardage is actually higher. But it only counts if it’s finished.) This isn’t going to win me any awards but I’m seven finished projects richer!
