My Little Old Man Sweater is done!!! (Stashbustin’ #26)
I cannot get over how adorable this is!!! And SUCH a quick knit. This would be a great pattern to pull out for a last minute gift. I made this whole thing from start to finish in about 7-8 hours working time?
I used Caron Simply Soft in Grey to make the 6 month old pattern size. I used about 118 grams of yarn so just under a full skein. The pattern was very well written and organized. It helped me learn my very first wrap and turn!! I highly recommend this pattern for someone wanting to learn sweater construction. It’s top down raglan style and SOOO easy!
The mommy to be who specially requested this got to pick out the buttons. She went with off white (slightly pearl-ish) 1 inch buttons. Not what I would have picked, but I’m not about to argue with a pregnant lady, lol! But I do have say they do come off as very grumpy old man…
Only a few more weeks until we get to meet the little guy to fill this sweater! Well and maybe a couple more months before he is big enough to fill this, lol.
My only thought now is….how do upsize this pattern to make myself one?

If you are looking for an adult size she has one for sale! It looks so cozy and is on my ‘to knit’ list this winter. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sophisticate-2
Love this!!
that fast?! I think you’re a much faster knitter than me…but I’m still going to have to try this pattern now 🙂 (that makes 5,000,0001 projects on my to do list 😉 )
My brain seems to be also in the “KNIT ALL THE THINGS” mode, lol
That. Is. Awesome. Love it!
It turned out perfectly “old man-ish”. Super cute!
I made this too,but I like yours better! When I made this I was a spanking new knitter and had some trouble. I think I’ll give it another go.
Just lovely! And congratulations on your first wrap and turn. Isn’t it fun to learn something new?!
It makes you feel smart!
I love this!
🙂

Sooo cute and cozy!!! I think my littlest girl may just need one of these…in a pink-orange or purple maybe?
That would be adorable!
