Thanks to some socially distanced travels to the grandparents this weekend for Jellybean’s 6th birthday…I have almost finished socks!! My Retro Rainbow Socks are almost complete and basking in the early Kansas fall season.

The first sock is still complete and the second one is a complete tube with a finished cuff. I have a sneaking suspicion that my socks will end up being fraternal rather than identical. Most certainly due to my gauge and no fault of the dyer. This pandemic and remote school has played all kinds of hell with my tension.
Fingers crossed I have a finished pair of socks this week! Happy Knitting!!
These socks are gorgeous!!! Is this what they call an afterthought heel (did I get that right)? I’m sort of terrified to try this style and have been clinging desperately to my turned heels instead, lol. 😛
Yep, it’s an afterthought heel with a few personal tweaks I make to account for my deep instep
I love them!
I love them! I had to look REALLY close to see how the two socks differed in the striping pattern.
They look great, and I had no idea Jellybean was so close in age to my daughter.
Jellybean is 6 but the size of a 10 yo! He’s going to be tall like his dad ☺️
