PB’s Gidday Baby sweater is all done but the buttons.
I need to give this thing a good bath and blocking. It’s not going to solve my obvious sleeve tension issues but it will even out the body stitches and give a nice fresh smell. The sleeves didn’t turn out as long as I thought and I probably should have extended them. But I was kinda over knitting them and bracelet length are okay for babies right?
I need to dig out some buttons as well. I’m really not sure what kind or color I’m looking for. I may just hit the fabric store and browse until something strikes my fancy.
Happy Knitting!!
I can’t wait to see what kind of buttons you select for this! I think this can work just fine as a 3/4 length sleeved baby sweater. Actually, it could actually work to the parents’ advantage and make the jacket last a little longer into almost toddler age since the sleeves will never seem “too short” all of a sudden.
Since the cuffs have no ribbing, any sleeve length is good. Finding the right buttons can take me longer to do than knitting the garment!
PB is going to be the best dressed baby around! It looks great and I think the shorter sleeves will be fine as all too often you end up rolling up sleeves on babies.
It’s adorable! And the sleeves will be fine, she will have no complaints!
So cute! It turned out great 🙂
