Rainbowing Along

My Garter Rainbow wrap has reached its full width and I’m on to the second color!

I made it to 102 stitches when I decided that was wide enough. I was also honestly tired of doing increases, lol. But now it will be just endless garter with i-cord edging. Perfect for nighttime TV knitting and my tired mom brain.

The changing colors is keeping me engaged in this project. I keep thinking “I’ll just work until the next color change.” I have a goal of finishing this by Halloween, no particular reason why I just wanted to make a goal.

Happy Knitting!!

Two Tiny Sock Toes

Slowly but surely I have two tiny toes complete. I decided to work my Advent Socks #3 in tandem, but on two different needles. The first color is complete and I’m just starting the second color.

The first color is reads very fall to me. It is a blend of pinks, browns and greens that makes me smell crisp red fall apples. The next color up is a variegated green that I think transitions nicely. It gets crazy after that as I see some purple poking through. These will be patchwork socks for sure.

Happy Knitting!!

Remoting And Knitting

I have had to return to the office full time but I immediately turned around and had a two day leadership training, lol. So I took full advantage and used my hours and hours on zoom to try and finish my Bifrost.

I really was able to work through at least two mini skeins worth of advent skeins. I have about a mini and a half left to go. I really hope to be done by this Friday. This project is FAR from perfect but it is very squishy and soft. It has been very soothing to knit row after row of garter stitch.

I’m already planning my next garter wrap 🙂

Happy Knitting!!

Bifrost-ing Along

My Bifrost is speeding right along. I am through most of the purple minis and I’m in the neutral creams and browns. It’s starting to get heavy and warm in my lap!

Thanks to TV watching (and possibly a glass of wine) I have on occasion added an extra stitch here and there. I have decided perfection is my enemy in this case and when I discover the extras I am just decreasing them away. Makes for a few lumps and bumps but no one will EVER notice in a garter shawl of this size.

The one thing I am fixing is where I split the yarns. I am marling my 2019 advent minis with skeins of Cloudborn merino singles. So I want to make sure every stitch uses both yarns, for strength purposes. So when I discover those stitches I am dropping down to fix them.

I should be approaching halfway with this project and couldn’t be happier! Happy Knitting!!
